The Backyard..............is FINISHED!!!! (for now)

Here is the finished product. I'm so glad that I can rest now that it is done!!!!
I've done most of everything. My brother-in-law did the sprinklers and I helped alittle.
Jonathan and our neighbor did the trenching for the sprinklers, but then I had to do them again because they weren't deep enough.
But the retaining wall I did it all with the instruction of Bryan.
The border around the yard I got lots of help from Jonathan and our neighbors.
Jonathan helped with the sod until he had to go to work.
I raked the yard to try to even out the grade.
Moved piles of dirt into the gardens.
Backfilled all the trenches.
Then yesterday I moved around 2 1/2 tons of rock all by myself. (felt as if I was going to die).
Jonathan helped with the last 1 1/2 tons.

Here is the rock along side the border and the grass. I think it looks so good.

We went to Strawberry.

We had a family reunion this last weekend and we went to strawberry AZ. The men played with bugs (still boys at heart)

Rode the Quad.
Ate popsicles.
Got annoyed at my picture taking.
Milked a Goat.

Played with cousins.

Played in the dirt.

Played Wii.

Slept in bunk beds.

Went for a hike.

Enjoyed Tonto Natural Bridge. I worn flip flops (BIG mistake).

Rode Horses.

Jonathan had fun with the girls.

The kids even had a quad to ride around.

The kids found buried treasure.

Emma got her kite really high without much help.

I also played around with the black and white feature on my camera.

Isn't Lily just so cute. All in all we had a great time. It was nice to have a break from the Hot heat. Now we are back, and I'm back to working in the back yard.

Sprinklers!!!

We have our sprinklers in. I'm sooo Happy that, that part of the yard is done. It's a huge job, but Bryan (my brother-in-law) really knows what he is doing. He did a great job thank you so much.

Going private!!!

After a supprise comment from someone I didn't know I have decided to go private. This guy is from Portugul and was commenting on my kids (yes SCARY). So if you do read my blog just let me know if you want to be added to the invited readers. If I don't know you I won't add you (aka SCARY MAN) I don't care if that sounds mean but scary men shouldn't look at my kids. I will leave open for a couple of weeks.

Emma Lost Something!!!!

Emna is 4 years old. She has seen Lily lose 3 teeth and wanted to do the same so badly.
We found that her tooth was lose about 1 week ago.
So she wiggled it tirelessly. (just like I did as a kid) It was going to come out. So yesterday we saw it was ready, and Daddy (he's the tooth puller in the family) got it out.
It flew as it came out and we searched the floor for it. Jonathan (the one who can't find anything) found it right away.
Emma is so proud of her window. She says she's a very lucky girl. I just can't believe she already lost a tooth a 4 years old. I thought Lily was early when she lost hers at 5. The dentist says that it's normal to lose your first at 6.

Our Dog Bo

This is Bo. He is 8 years old. We just got him two months ago from my Aunt and Uncle. They are both disabled and can't take care of him anymore. I took him to help them out. Let me tell you that he is the most behaved dog ever. He's house broken. He doesn't chew on anything. He's just great with our kids. BUT I come to find out our baby Benjamin is allergic. We finally get a good dog. A dog the kids like being around, and we can't keep him. It's so sad, but my babies health is more important. So if anyone know of anyone who wants a very good dog let me know. I hate to say goodbye to this lovable guy but I have to.

I deserve a metal or something!!!!!!!!!!!

So on my facebook I was constantly updating my status as digging in the dirt. I didn't really elaborate as to why. So here it is. I'm making a garden and a big one at that. I love to garden it is so theraputic for me. After a crazy day with the kids I love going out and enjoy seeing my garden grow. I would have Jonathan dig it for me but he is crazy busy with work and school. So I had to get out there in the sun and dirt and labor away while Lily is at school and the babies napped. So where is my METAL!!!!

Scrapbooking

I did 2 pages today. I want to get alot more done soon. I have alot to catch up on.
I'm not very creative with words or anything, but something is better than nothing.

So after a night of fun at Larry and Margarets anniversary party I was going through the pictures on my camera (I let Thomas take some.) I came across this one. I was laughing so hard that it was hard to breath. For one it's a funny picture, and it shows how fun loving my husband can be. Our kids just love their daddy because he is just so fun. He can make up interesting stories to tell them at night. He is so much more fun than I am. So for the title of this post. If Jonathan knew that I was putting up this silly picture he wouldn't be to happy. Oh well I guess I can be "FUN" too!!!! Right?

Benjamin's Blessing and one silly little Emma

On Sunday we had Bejamin's baby blessing. Almost everyone was there. It was a nice blessing.

Lily's night

Last Thursday night Lily had a chicca chicca boom boom of ABCs and 123s at her school.
They sang songs for the parents. It's was the kindergarten performance for the year.
They stuck Lily in between the tallest kids in the class so she looked like a shrimp up there.

Decorating, Quads, and Cabinets.

After living here for 4 months I have finally decorated some of my house. I got the living room and dining room done so far.

I got these curtains last night. I just love them. My neighbor has them but they are brown and blue, and mine are brown and purple.

Jonathan and his friend installed this ceiling fan in the living room. We didn't have any electricity running to it either so it was a big job.

I hung that mirror all by myself. It was hard to do but I did it. In the empty space we want to get a hutch or something like that to store all our piano music. I think it will look nice.

Here is the dining room. I didn't do much but I think it looks nice.

This is Jonathan's new toy. He LOVES it. He has been wanting a quad for a very long time. I finally broke down and said what the heck.

Jonathan has made my life so much easier. He made me these wonderful garage cabinets. We haven't ever had enough storage ever. Not now.

We are still in the process of making more so Jonathan will have room for his stuff as well.

I just wanted to say how wonderful it is to have our own home. The space we have for our family is a life saver. The things we can do to OUR house to make our lives easier is so much fun. The next project is the backyard.
