Benjamin's hair

When Benjamin was born he had little to no hair. As he got older his hair came in and it laid flat on his head unlike all my other kids whose hair stood straight up. After his first cut this is how it's been. He's now called fuzzy by countless people. I just KNOW that when he's a teen ager he's going to try and grow it out like an afro. BTW it won't lay down for anything.

Happy Birthday Jonny!!!!

I've been able to celebrate 10 birthday's with this wonderful man. It's his lucky day but I feel as if it's mine as well. Without him I wouldn't have all this. 5 Beautiful children, and a very caring husband. He is sure blessed to have all these children that adore him. Each one of them LOVE their daddy. Happy Birthday Jonathan I love you so much!!!!!!!

5 months of weight loss.

Has it really been that long. When I first started I was overwhelmed. I had a lot to lose. It's hard to be disciplined. I'm an emotional eater and I had to "deal" with my everyday small issues another way. So I got through it one week at a time. I've lost 51.8 lbs and I feel great. It's coming off slower but that's healthy. I have just 32.6 lbs to go and that's cake (although I won't eat it). I can see my self smaller and healthier the rest of my life and that makes me happy. OHHHHHH big deal here................. I got my size 8 pants out and tried them on just to measure how much I have to go.......... I got them up buttoned and zipped. They were TIGHT, but they were on. My ultimate goal is size 6 but oh man it's so close I can taste it.

KooKoonut milk.

Emma tried some coconut milk today. She didn't like it too much and called it kookoonut milk. Hahaha.

Oh how I love this big little guy. There are some times I wonder what he's thinking. Like when he runs into the street seconds away from getting hit by a car. TWICE. Not like I'm being a neglectful parent or anything. He's FAST. I've never been around a kid this fast. I've been around a lot of kids so that says A LOT.
There are times where he's calm (rarely). He's a huge snuggler. He's happy all the time. He keeps me on my toes.
Even though I'm close to pulling out all my hair sometimes. I LOVE this guy. Now who couldn't with that face. Oh and his first sentence was "to infinity and beyond!"

Horrible Horrible blogger.

Yeah I know I've done a BAD job blogging but it seems as if I'm kinda busy. 5 kids, how can you not. So I'm just doing a small update here. Miriam is almost walking. She takes up to 7 steps at a time. The 3 older kids are starting school in 2 weeks. I may have more time to blog while they are in school. I'm running a 5 k in less than 2 weeks. I haven't been training all that much. I know I can run that far. Maybe not necessarily run but you know what I mean. I finally got my Metformin (med for my insulin resistance) up to the proper dosage. It makes me sick at first but after a few days I feel really good. It's going to help me take some of this weight off of me for good. I'm really excited to get healthy. I'm 7 weeks into my journey to becoming skinny fit. I've lost 28.2 lbs and I feel so much better. I had lost 40 lbs from Nov 2009 to Feb 2010, but I was losing my milk and had to stop dieting and working out because both of those things made my milk supply diminish. It's weird that working out was doing it too but it is what it is. So...... I gained it ALL back. It really stunk. I'm getting back to where I was and past that. Jonathan and I discussed what is a good healthy goal weight. I have a point where I KNOW I can get too. I've done it before, but not the right way. I just dieted and didn't work out. I LOOKED skinny, but I really wasn't. I still had too much fat on my body. I was skinny fat. I could have lost another 20 lbs and been just skinny with no muscle tone. So this time around I want to be at a weight that is maintainable but that I have a healthy body fat %. I have to get out of my head that being healthy and skinny isn't about a number on the scale. It's about what the package (body) looks like. So that means I have to workout along the way. I really dislike working out. It's something I struggle with. I can diet with no problems, but working out..... ugh. I guess these runs that I've signed up for will help with that.

10 months old

I love my sweet baby. She's crawling, but mostly army crawl. She's pulling her self up and cruising around the couches. I can't believe she's getting so big so fast. This last year has flown by. She still only has two teeth but my kids have been slow on getting teeth. I'm ok with that. She says baba dada mama googoo, and loves to babble really loud. I love her

New Puppy

This is Sunny our dog. She's a Dorkie, no really she is. She's half yorkie and half Dachshund. She is so tiny too. It's good and bad. She can jump on the kids and knock them down cause she's less than 2 lbs right now and won't get much bigger. But she has little chance against Benji. He doesn't know how to hold a dog. His idea of holding a dog is by both back legs and swinging her around. Poor thing. He's getting better though. Hey he's two what do you expect.

Haven't posted in forever.

Because some how all the pictures I took on my camera's memory card disappeared. Some were Jonathan's work pictures. Oh that's why too. Jonathan had my camera for a while. Ugghhhh some of the pictures were of the kids with my Grandma that they just met. I haven't seen her in like 20 years (very sad I know). Boooooooo I'm not too happy about losing those pictures. Ohhhh well. So I'll try to update my blog better in the future.

More hair do's

I haven't tried new hair styles on the girls for a long time. So today as we are all home sick I thought the girls could still look cute.

Emma's took forever and my arms were on fire during it.

Lily's is kinda rough but my fingers weren't really warmed up. I think it's cute.

First Tooth

Hooray she got her first tooth today. It took forever to come in.

Poor girl has a tummy ache. She hardly ever gets sick and asks to stay home because she loves school so much.
